Growth Characteristics: Mountain Brome is an erect cool-season bunchgrass growing to 4 feet high.  It begins growth early in the spring with flowers in the early summer.

Range: Mountain Brome is widespread across western United States and into Canada up to 13,000 feet.  It prefers to grow in open areas and shrub dominated communities.
